Melanie (10.7 sqm) timber summer house

Buying a good timber summer house is not all about dreams of peace, harmony and a glass of white wine on a summer evening. It's also about practicality.

In the case of the Melanie (10.7 sqm) timber summer house, for example, there's huge added value in the form in the added storage space. So while the design is similar to our attractive Melanie (6.8 sqm) corner cabin, in this case, we've also added a separate storage space, with separate door. So the main space stays tidy and elegant, while you conceal a jumble of deckchairs and sunshades away from view.

Choosing the best timber summer house is also a matter of looking at hard technical detail. So, for example, storm braces help the cabin hold together in bad weather; metal door sills last longer and look better than wooden versions; laminating the door frames helps prevent them warping or swelling in the damp British climate.

Like all our timber garden buildings, the Melanie (10.7 sqm) incorporates all these details, giving you a summer house that looks better and lasts longer. To give a final finishing touch, we advise using roof shingles. If you'd like to know more about such aspects, we'd be very happy to tell you more.

Please note this building can be built up in reverse ie the storage compartment can either be built to the right or left hand side.

All prices on the GardenLife Log Cabins website include VAT and UK mainland delivery (exceptions to this include Northern Ireland, islands and more remote northern regions; please get in touch if you have any questions). Additional information about timber treatment, cabin delivery, how to build your cabin and our 5 year warranty can be found here.

Customer testimonials for the Melanie (10.7 sqm) summer house

"We purchased a summer house from GardenLife in Edinburgh. We are totally delighted by the product and the great service we received from GardenLife and their delivery and fitting contractors."
Robin

"I just thought you might like to see the summer house we purchased from you, installed and painted by Ritchie at Timberheart. We've just had a paved path and steps installed which run from our existing patio to the summer house. The shed and the summer house are much roomier than we anticipated. We have an excellent view of the garden from all angles and the building retains heat well, even on cooler days. We are thrilled with our summer house and have been spending lots of time in it. We've had power installed too, so we can use a heater in the autumn. Thanks very much for the excellent service. "
