Log Cabin Renovation

A renovation of some old log cabins in the United States has uncovered some interesting items of local historical interest. When stripping back drywalling and plaster builders found some sides of old wooden crates being used to block drafts between the logs. The sides of the crates bear the names of many local companies long since gone with some dating back to the 1850’s. Builders were also surprised to find no insect infestations on the original logs or any sign of fungal decay. Great testamount to the longevity of these type of buildings!
