Melody corner summer house

Melody is a summer house perfect for the corner of a small garden. The basic floorplan is square, but the front door is where one of the corners would be. So if you position the cabin in the back corner of your garden, you can enjoy a view around the whole garden. You also add interest to your garden design.

This corner summer house would enhance any garden in other ways too. This is not just a shed to keep junk in, or use once a summer for a chilly glass of wine or hasty cup of tea. The solid timber wall logs have a high-quality finish, both inside and out, and the proportions of the walls, windows and door are elegant and classic.

Good-looking design details are backed by practicality. The 28mm timber walls are well insulated and dense, as is the solid wood floor - making Melody warm enough to use in spring and autumn. Logs are chalet cut to give high levels of wind and rain resistance. The roof overhang at the front provides shade from overhead sun if you want to sit outside in summer.

The highest part of the roof on this corner summer house is 246cm, and there's a good reason for this. It means that, in most parts of the UK, you won't need to get planning permission (the general rule is that if you put a garden building within 2 metres of your boundary, you will need planning permission if the roof is over 2.5 metres high). However, do check your local planning regulations online, since the rules are different for places like Conservation areas.
